Meditate… by Karina Hines – 20″x16″

Meditation is one of those life hacks that I know will be there to support me through all the seasons of my life. In my personal experience, it has been a special connection to myself and to our world which I like to believe we are all connected to. It doesn’t always make sense or feels as rewarding at first, but it’s the shift in your perspective and better mood that makes you start to see the difference. It helps me go to sleep at night, recharge after a stressful day, or calm down and reorganize my thoughts if something is bothering. I also heard it helps you lose weight and even wrinkles, digestion, boost your immune system and even improve your brain health!  Words can’t capture the impact meditation has had in my life. I think that’s why I was called to make this painting about a year ago, during a guided meditation. She’s a reminder of the power of meditation, and a reminder of the power that is already inside of us, to heal, to grow, to be happy.
