We can never loose hope. Here are some simple ways to find hope in your life during difficult times.
Purposeful Dreamer is about love and collaboration through creativity and following our hearts to take action for what matters in our hearts and our souls. Last month, I was called to set up this minute of silence live through social media and with my family and friends. Art is not just a painting on a wall or a pretty sculpture, I believe Art is the true expression of ourselves and we get to create art however our heart is called to do so. This is my art, with all my heart to you, who is listening and choosing to act with love and kindness in your heart.
To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
To Write Love on Her Arms began in Orlando, FL in 2006 when our founder, Jamie Tworkowski, wrote a story about a friend who struggled with self-injury and addiction and the five days preceding her entry into treatment. The story, which was entitled “To Write Love on Her Arms,” went viral, and T-shirts were initially printed and sold as a way to pay for that friend’s treatment. Since then, TWLOHA has become a non-profit which serves as a bridge to hope and help for people facing the same issues.
Rafa never saw himself creating something for a cause, as a mate at the US Coast guard moving up the ranks for the last 10 years and a busy dad of two boys, he had only done this type of work as a hobby. When I asked him to be part of the Purposeful Dreamer experience, he didn’t hesitate to support our mission, he said: “I know many dreamers that have come to this country to succeed and I want to give back to the community”.
